Snakes on a plane --> Metachat dream. →[More:]Thanks, metachat. Really.

I'm a bit ashamed to admit it, but I have a snake phobia. It's my mother's doing, but anyway. I have recurring snake dreams; they border on nightmares.

I've had two recently.

Both times, I woke up saying/thinking "Snakes on a motherfuckin' plane!" Then I laughed.

I rather like snakes. Except for the cottonmouth my mom found on her porch the other day. That one, not so much.

She killed it with a shovel. She was sad about it and cried.

If I saw Samuel L. Jackson on a plane, I'd probably kill him with a shovel.

Snaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaakes!

Does anyone else remember the subplot in Firestarter (the early Stephen King book, not the subsequent Drew Barrymore movie) in which a central character, who is going slowly insane, develops an all-consuming preoccupation with snakes and begins to see them everywhere?

I have no problem with snakes, although when I encounter them suddenly they do make me jump. Planes, on the other hand, scare the living bejesus out of me. Thus, it is yet another mysterious mecha happening that I dreamt about airports and planes last night. Coincidence. . . or not?
