FontFinder, FontFinder, find me a font. Do you know what this font is called, or do you know of one very similar to it? I have a hankering for this typeface.
Asked at 16:39 and answered at 16:45 - dobbs, what took you so long?
It is Rosewood! Next question - do you know of something similar that's free? I just want to use it to type the name for my weblog, so I really don't want to spend 22.00 on it to type five letters. I'll go with something else if I can't find something like it. It is pretty though...hmmm.
iconomy, I'll take a look and see if I still have it and maybe I can help you out. I had a font accident a few months ago and lost a bunch.
I quite like the font, I also used it here on a site I never finished. The word bludge is done in Rosewood Inverse (or something like that). I like both incarnations of it.
That would be great, dobbs. Sorry to hear about your font accident...that's crappy. Especially if you've purchased. I've only bought 3 fonts in my life (all were for commercial projects), but I put those three on a CD because my computer crashes on a bi-weekly basis. So I thought I was so smart, but then I lost the CD 0_o
Oh yeah, that's nice too - the word Bludge. I just looked it up at Linotype and that one's called Rosewood Fill. Thanks for introducing me to this new font...I'd never heard of it.
I really love the looks of that site! Very clean and elegant, yet funky. Why didn't you ever finish it?
I'm just burning a DVD and then I'll open Photoshop and see if I still have the font. Don't want to risk a crash in the middle of a burn.
Thanks for the compliment on the site. I don't have a good reason for why I abandoned it. I mostly designed it to learn Expression Engine so I could use it for a client's site and once that was done I just never came back to it. I still might return to it as I quite like it as well. We'll see, I suppose.
