I mean, what is the joke here. The guy took his heart out, and now he's holding his own heart it in his hands. That's odd and unusual, so therefore, it's funny? I don't find it funny at all.

Is there some part of the joke that I'm missing.

It's really funny, it's funny because of the character of Ray and how he has developed. It helps to read them all, then it becomes funnier and funnier. However if you don't like it, that's life. I think Onstad is a genius.

At one point I read, basicaly, several weeks worth of achewood to try to 'get' it, but I still didn't find it funny. It was a story about ray selling his soul to the devel in order to be good at music, or something.

It's a really boring story.

I read Achewood every day and while I find most of them funny, some are strange and a few are "huh?". Today was in that category.

Still, in Onstad's defense, it's hard to be consistently funny for years. At least he still manages more often than not.

Acutally, there was a funny one once. It was about The Cure. But I'm not going to go looking for it.
