too many subjective variables to come up with an answer
but the last few batches of anonymous asks have had me questioning and deleting on and off
(if i stay in and have the wherewithall, i may even get specific)
people can drink, then pee in less than twenty minutes, or ten, even five.
people can pee blue even without being pranked.
people can not know they have to pee until it is urgent.
people can not fully empty their bladder.
jon should see Deadwood's "Requiem for a Gleet"
and, of course, now i have to go.
but know your pee and urineformed!
I don't think I agree with teece. Once an hour is too often, even post pregnancy kinda thing. You only make about 40 or 50 mls an hour and pee about 300-400mls a time generally (2 cups or a bit less). So it's like 3 or 4 or 5 times a day (depending on weather, intake among other less important variables)
Frequency is more to do with wanting to go a lot and then only producing a squidge. And it's usually indicative of an infection.
So drink heaps and pee heaps and that will promote the least favourable environment for any nasty replicating bug who takes a fancy to you.
Polyuria is definite when it's more than 20 "calls to void" per day. It's not always an indication of a disease state - you can intentionally drink a lot of water and pee 30 times - but when it's 20+ and the person's not trying, there's usually something wrong.
Nocturia is greater than 2 getting-up-to-urinate events during a night of sleeping.
