I love this! Thanks Iconomy! A really rudimentary question: I opened up the photoshop file and couldn’t figure out how he did this. Is there a pixel-drawing function built in to PS, or did he free-hand it using a square brush, or something?

I think he did it freehand - at least, that's how I used to do them. With a square brush, yep. Once you have the file it's really easy to make more and more and more and more Marios, though!
