I found some data once. It was lost, frightened, fragmented, alone; kicked out on its bits like trash by an unforgiving document.

I took it in, packed it, massaged it.
I told it that there was no longer any ownership, and in return, it let me set its sticky bit.

I sent that data back into the world; optimized and recycled.

I haven't seen that data since. It lives in no directory in my home. I like to think that it's out in the world somewhere bringing joy to whatever documents it fills.
