La Brea...Tar Pits (Tar Pits!) HELP! Is anybody out there sitting on an mp3 of "Pico and Sepulveda" as performed by Felix Figueroa and his Orchestra and featured in the movie The Forbidden Zone, but not included on its soundtrack? [More:]It doesn't seem to be on any currently available CD, other than a version by someone called Lee Press On and the Nails, which isn't the one I'm looking for. I can't get a tiny fragment of it out of my head, and I would love to hear the whole song again. Thank you!

But of course. It's in my "Never Give To PST" folder.

Awesome! Thank you! Did you find it in a very obvious place that I am a dummy for not thinking of?

God Damn, that's awesome. Now i just need to find Danny Elfman as the devil singing the modified Minnie The Moocher from that movie.

I actually found it in .WAV format and would've uploaded it but I couldn't find my .WAV to MP3 tool that I used back in the day. C'est la vie.

I worked for four years about five blocks from the corner of Pico and Sepulveda. There was a mini-mall there with a place that had pretty good burritos.

And I once took a date on a picnic at the LaBrea Tar Pits (following which we went to an animation festival at the County Museum next door - we got the autograph of the creator of Tom Terrific which she kept, after which she broke up with me. I had never felt so used.)

"Pico and Sepulveda" was the number one requested song for six months on the Dr. Demento show when it was local to Los Angeles before the good Dr. 'retired' it. I thought it was on one of the collections he did for Rhino Records in the old days. But I could be wrong.
