I lived! Just got back from an almost fifteen hour workday....at the polls.

I am one of the people that works during elections when people come to vote-checking to make sure they are registered, etc etc. I also get to play petty despot as I chase out errant cell phone users and overzealous campaign workers. I love that part.

And I get paid.

Getting up at 4:30 am is almost worth it.

I like to call it "the Polish Place", especially when most of the candidates are jokes...

Good work, firebunny. Any job that lets you abuse cell phone users sounds like a good one.

(matteo, you are not going to goad me into coming up with titles for christian porn movies... well, maybe "The Layin', the Bitch and No Wardrobe", but that's all!)

We had a city council/mayoral primary here - I voted this morning & the results (warning, pdf!) look okay. Although my favorite city council candidate didn't make it, rats.

My grandparents serve as election judges every year. They've been doing that since I was little.
