My guess would be that they know some old cracker with a white moustache, and whom they therefore secretly refer to as Wilford Brimley.

I have a friend in the bear community who swears that Wilford Brimley came out of the closet a few years back, but so far google has yielded no corroborating evidence. Is this for real, or just wishful thinking on his part?
