Cuttin up eyeballs! Anyone watching the Pixices on INHD2? Very jealous I didn't see em on tour.
Ouch. You know what I meant.

Crackity Jones into Something Against You.

Nice.

They looked real psyched to be playing together. I think they have at least another album in them.

(Although I do like a fair amount of Frank Black solo stuff.)

I totally saw them on tour. It was the best show I've been to in years.

I saw them last weekend and am still ridin' high. I got in front at this small club (900 capacity, I think) and it was fucking AMAZING. Kim Deal is a rock god(dess).

*sigh*

I actually saw the Pixies during the "Bossanova" tour... Kim Deal was still a chainsmoker and kept a lit cig stuck in the strings of her bass throughout the show.

Maybe it was for show, but it sure stuck in my mind. :D

As of 2004 (a show from which aired tonight) she's still a chain-smoker. She didn't bother putting the butt up on the tuning pegs, just kept it in her mouth while she played.

Hard a hard time with the high notes in Where is My Mind, but she's still a babe.

I thought they sounded great on the reunion tour, and they looked like they were having a great time. I saw the Pixies 5 or 6 times during their original run and they never struck me as a great live band. I always enjoyed the shows, but mostly becasue I just loved the songs so damn much. But I do still very fondly look back on the two shows I saw on the Surfer Rosa tour. At the time they were unlike any other band out there.

Saw 'em in December and they were fantastic. It's amazing that they've been able to tolerate each other for the past year on the road -- I guess growing up is good.
