Wow. My mother has a number of dishes made with a Cream of Mushroom Soup base. One casserole in particular we call, simply, Gray Dinner. (I actually like it.)
She also puts many of these dishes to shame with her own concoction, Tuna Mold. A mess of canned tuna and mayo suspended in plain gelatin--it sets up in a bundt pan.... Served over a crisp piece of lettuce of a hot summer night, it's quite refreshing. So she says.
Holy crap kortez, at least you're still alive! My mom would slice apples and drown them in mayo, but that was about as bad as it got at my house. She never understood why I didn't eat her "apple salad" . . .
The first time I found the gallery of regrettable food I literally LMAO - fell off my office chair in tears of laughter so that my coworker came running in to see if I was okay. It's a pity his politics are so reprehensible; ah well, I even went and bought the book anyway. If you're ever in the market for a very special coffee table book, let me recommend it. ;-)
