Also, your groupie is a bad person who didn't ask how the interview thingie went Saturday. How did the interview thingie go Saturday?

Well twinkie my love, you are missing something and it breaks my heart. Someday we will meet and I will reenact it for you.

Anyway, Saturday was very much a good news/bad news kind of day:

The good news: The interview/performance went pretty well.
The bad news: The studio's recorder was broken so we just have a couple of tapes of it with not-so-hot sound quality. We may post it to our site, but I kind of doubt it.
The good news: The interview and a few other lucky breaks brought a surprising number of new faces out to see our show.
The bad news: Two songs in the sky opened on us (outdoor stage) with such ferocity that we were totally rained out. We moved indoors but all our shit was wet and it took us forever to dry out to perform a handful of songs acoustically. We'll probably have to replace our drummer's heads and we're just hoping like hell that his entire (beautiful) set isn't warped.
The good news: We love our band (including the bang) who stuck around to help us play, our friends who stuck around to hear us straggle on, and we have a pretty good story to tell. We sold some shirts and cds. We are okay.

(The further good news: Said the Gramophone was very nice to us today.)

i'm with the bang on this one, that cat hangs there, pissing in the pool with incredible fright while doofus "moves" it around. muttley though, he's obviously enjoying it... god, i hope this isn't a public pool.

There was hail, too, goddamnit.

melissa may! i had no idea you were a mefite (or mecha, i suppose). howdy! and once again, i was very happy to able to hear your music, and tell others so.

Ahh, Sean! I had no idea you were a mecha! I saw the link to MeFi on StG so that much I knew, but we'd never run into each other there either that I can recall, and yadda yadda yadda it's a very small web indeed.

Anyway, yours is the first thing anyone has said about the new record, and it truly made our day (ours being Hiram too, who is sleepy_pete right there above and on MeFi). Really, thanks so much.

(Oh and can I say I loved that Mary Timony/Roy Harper post that (double-checks) Jordan did mid-September? I should have said so right there. It's a great blog -- and we're so happy to be there too.)
