A) midlife crisis, maybe? Lotsa kids at home (4), out of touch with a higher purpose, many other reasons...I've convinced myself that I'd be much happier with an Audi TT.

b) What's the worst #1 will do, ban me for a week? Forever?

Nope. The self same grateful - although that meetup was the first time I'd ever met terrapin. And you're right about the kids - 4 kids born within 4 years of each other.

Turtlegirl might have something to say about who gets to have terrapin's kids, but that's not my territory.

And Omie- yeah the TT's is pretty sweet, but I don't think I'd ever really get one either. They're supposed to be kinda crappy in the long run, and it's too much money when my kids need new shoes...

I think I know what you mean about the crisis/kids/purpose weight/boredom/raggedness. I don't get how shitting on MetaFilter would help, though. What do you have in mind? A TT post would kinda suck, but I wouldn't call it shitting.

Getting to meetups is tough for me, but I should really try to get to the next silver spring gathering...

i stopped going to metafilter months ago...mostly because it is filled with douchenozzles...it would probably waste my time and be redundant to shit on metafilter....
