uhhh, marmosets?
Otters.
posted by Wolfdog 02 October | 20:45
Yup,otters. And I don't think that's a wombat either.

double oops.
posted by Edible Energy 02 October | 21:02
The pic with the grown up otters making a donut around the baby is just great.
posted by puddinghead 02 October | 21:06
Still cute though!

But nothing is as cute as the I Love You Kitten.

The Japanese know their cute. (If you read that aloud, people would completely misunderstand it.)

This is a yoga position I haven't learned yet:

what's that stance called?

What's that animal called?
posted by puddinghead 02 October | 22:46
I believe that's a lemur, puddinghead.
posted by deborah 02 October | 23:10
a ring-tailed lemur from Madagascar?
posted by MightyNez 02 October | 23:23
I was afraid of that, so very afraid. That lemur(I can barely write the words) is in the "Budweiser" stance. Quick, someone, get him a brew before this goes any further!

*shudders*

I didn't see any otters called marmosets, but the cat-cow was disturbing, but less disturbing than the "POTUS" handling corn...

When it clicks, it becomes huge.

Or so babel fish tells me.
posted by nickdanger 03 October | 00:09
Are you getting "marmosets" from an online translation?? I'm not seeing anything like that in Japanese.
posted by MightyNez 03 October | 00:23
No 'marmoset' from babel fish, although this is rather cryptic:

Secret mechanic wow Soviet baby 2

Oh hilarity.

/click, huge.
posted by nickdanger 03 October | 00:40
I see "baby otters" -- kawauso no aka-chan (baby)...
posted by MightyNez 03 October | 00:44
I think 'marmoset' was just a guess, MightyNez.

Come to think of it, I'm not altogether sure what a marmoset actually *is.*

a marmoset is a little monkey --> ≡ Click to see image ≡
(the Sovietbaby version)

and just for reference, here's a marmot: ≡ Click to see image ≡

So, if they fought, which one would win?

Obviously the monkey has advantages in opposable thumbs and disarming cuteness, but in a home game the marmot could easily capitalize on its adaptation to a high alititude environment while the marmoset would be left gasping.

Hmmm. Place your bets.

My God, Hugh Janus, it's the Rabbit of Caerbannog, isn't it? Unless someone has a Holy Hand Grenade, we're screwed. The wabbit wins.
posted by puddinghead 03 October | 12:25
ahhhh. I was thinking of a marmot, which I think I've only seen in the big lebowski. Anyways, cute little buggers, them otters are!
