Trivial Pursuit Online [More:] I'm sure it's not the same as sitting around the board in person but there's quite a bit of Trivial Pursuit talk in the 10 Things You Don't Know About Me thread. Short of a few of us flying to another town for a MeCha Trivial Pursuit meetup (which would be way cool) this could be the next best thing. Can we have MeCha game night? Risk? Monopoly? Scrabble?
I think this is an awesome idea. Somebody come up with a date and time?

I'd be into it.

And, since you mention it, do any MeCha Scrabble players hang out on ISC?

I am torn. I want to play. Yet I am afraid of finding out you are all better at this than I am. This is what distinguishes me among my friends. If I fail, what will I be known for here?

Why, your beautiful ass, of course!
posted by taz 29 September | 12:48
Dame, do you have an attractive donkey I don't know about?
posted by Slack-a-gogo 29 September | 13:00
I'm definitely in, although I cannot promise I will be any good.

Okay, I'm in. We'll have to pick a nice weekend so that all the time zones can not worry about work. What time would be best to cover those funny upside-down countries, Europe and North America? Is it possible?

The multiplayer game doesn't load for me... I can do the single-player, but I just get a page with a couple of ads on it when I click multiplayer.

Has anyone tried it?
posted by taz 29 September | 13:06
Poo. Weekends do not work for me because I have internet access at work only and as much as I love you guys, I will not come into work on the weekends.

Have fun!
posted by Specklet 29 September | 13:15
Well, we could try for what would be a Friday afternnon in Oregon, Specklet. Because that would avoid the work problem.
posted by dame 29 September | 13:24
I would be in too, if I didn't have the same problem as taz.
posted by gaspode 29 September | 13:32
Well hell, I could do it anytime during the workday. I'm usually talking to you guys all day anyway.

Seriously.
posted by Specklet 29 September | 13:32
I'm in but not for playing. You don't really want to play a game of anything with me. Nor do you want to be my anatomy lab partner. I will sulk if I lose and be insufferable if I win or argue with you about whose day it is to dissect. Immature, but true. Can I just lurk and snack?
posted by puddinghead 29 September | 13:51
I'm in, too. But I suffer the same fear as Dame. (And my ass isn't nearly as nice.)
posted by jrossi4r 29 September | 13:53
*comes in with popcorn, sits down beside puddinghead*

[I'm horrible at anything competitive, but I love the snacky thing.]

Technical and scheduling issues aside, I'd love to do this.

Plus me good-talk so plurentely, is am shure to trimphulate Scrabble®
posted by Capn 29 September | 14:04
So has anyone actually been able to get in on the multiplayer?
posted by taz 29 September | 14:06
No. *whimper*

Of course if someone has a game and wants to be the questioner, it could be played over irc, somehow, maybe?
posted by dame 29 September | 14:25
I think I have a game in the closet somewhere (but it's a newer version).

I'd be happy to be the Trivial Pursuit Goddess.
posted by mudpuppie 29 September | 14:57
Well, here's a Scrabbalic suggestion -- Babble. It's got a chatlog, it's ranked for a nice little edge of competetion, it's free (though it's worth signing up for the premium and it's not expensive), and it's going on RIGHT NOW.

I'm melissamay over there too, so stop by sometime if you feel like geeking it up.
(As far as where the good free trivial pursuit is, I dunno.)

Oops.

Turns out I have a Trivial Pursuit box in the closet. If anyone stumbles across the stuff that's supposed to be in it, please let me know. Thanks.

Why is Sports & Leisure always about baseball?
posted by petitpoulet 29 September | 15:36
I'd like to play, but I would probably get my ass handed to me in a shopping bag. Still, if the scheduling works out...
posted by muddgirl 29 September | 15:51
i think i fried my brain last night...

why do i do this? clearly there is an evil alien living in my brain controlling my every action...stupid alcoholic alien...

multiplayer does not work for me either...
posted by Schyler523 29 September | 16:35
I'm in...whenever,wherever...just lemme know.
posted by ramix 29 September | 19:00
I'd love to play. When/if someone coordinates a day/time ... count me in.
posted by ericb 29 September | 19:58
Blasted java. Won't work for me either, but I'd love to play too.
posted by deborah 29 September | 21:33
Newer version?! But I memorised the old version. *sigh*

I'm in. Anytime, given my offsprings' behaviour at the time.
