Weather Wars! [More:]This is like something out of a comic book. Scott Stevens, a meteorologist who for nine years has been forecasting the weather on KPVI-TV in Idaho, says the Yakuza (the Japanese mafia) is using a Russian-made electromagnetic generator to launch catastrophic storms against the U.S.

He says that the Russians invented a machine that controls the weather. I thought it was Lex Luthor?
Or even a soap opera; wasn't there something like this on "General Hospital" a few years back?

It started out in Port Charles town
Where Frank Smith's mob used to hang around
No one could prove that he was a crook
'Til Luke, he stole his little black book....

Others are engaging even in an eco-type of terrorism whereby they can alter the climate, set off earthquakes, volcanoes remotely through the use of electromagnetic waves. So there are plenty of ingenious minds out there that are at work finding ways in which they can wreak terror upon other nations. It's real, and that's the reason why we have to intensify our efforts, and that's why this is so important.
[Secretary of Defense William Cohen at an April 1997 counterterrorism conference sponsored by former Senator Sam Nunn. Quoted from DoD News Briefing, Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen, Q&A at the Conference on Terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, and U.S. Strategy, University of Georgia , Athens , Apr. 28, 1997].
Sidney Sheldon makes a similar claim in one of his books, that the U.S. and some other major gov'ts have the technology to mess with the weather and have experimented with doing it. I've been meaning to post it to AskMe for a while now.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMOR:
I DO NOT READ SIDNEY SHELDON.
My aunt loaned my Mom the book and my Mom did not read it, just noticed the afterword about the weather and passed it on to me.

Sure, right, we believe you, Mr. Sheldon.

That's the same Sidney Sheldon who produced "I Dream of Jeannie"... How can you NOT believe him?

Well, there was a conspiracy to hide Jeannie's bellybutton, so I'm willing to believe a conspiracy to hide weather changing technology.
