Bored? Thanks to Mr. Davis's comment I've been reading through some old MetaTalk posts (only a few months before I started lurking). Very entertaining.→[More:]I miss Miguel's FPP, though I don't think his posting style is tolerated on Mefi any more.
Heh. Every so often I go through old MeTa threads. I started doing it a few years back before I was able to sign up in order to get a feel for the place and got hooked. I go through the blue archives every so often too.
Why is there no comment by cardosa in that thread? It was posted a year later so it was deleted or what? And what's with Miguels posting style that wouldn't be tolerated? They look normal to me.
Wow, I need to do some catching up. I stay away from MeCha/MeFi/MeTa for a couple of weeks and, when I come back, everything has turned upside downhas changedis almost the same is identical.
Never mind.
I don't speak Portuguese, but I sent Miguel an invitation anyway. Unfortunately, the address in his MeFi profile is busted and I can't decipher anything on his bloggy type thing.
Has anyone been emailed by Miguel recently? I got an email from him earlier this year, but I lost it when I lost a few months because of hard drive problems1. But surely someone has a working recent address?
It's really fucking weird how many of us who didn't get along with Miguel miss him. It's...diabolical.
1. By the way, my solution to this problem seems pretty cool and efficient to me. I certainly don't want to use Google as my main email, but I am able to alias my main email address to other addresses. So I created a gmail account that acts as an archive for every email that I get. I just need to visit occasionally to clean out spam that made it through. I hate losing email--other than what I've lost accidently, I have everything back to 1992. So I feel much more comfy these days.
