I had to take defensive driving after running a red light once.

But I guess that's not the same thing.

Also, the summer I turned 15, those of us who were going to take Driver's Ed had to meet in the school cafeteria to receive our lectures and permission slips and such. The principal explained that we'd have to get the permission slips signed by a notary public.

As my mom was driving my friend and me home, she asked the friend how the meeting had gone. My friend was really upset and thought that her parents maybe weren't going to let her take Driver's Ed after all. My mom asked why. Friend: "Well, the principal said we had to get the form signed by a noted republican, and my parents are democrats."

LOL @ mudpuppie. For the longest time I thought it was Note of Republic.

Defensive marriage? Yeah, I think my grandparents had one of those.
