It was up. For about ten minutes. And then it went down again. It's like website roulette. You click and click and click. Will this click be the one that gets you in? Who knows?
agregoli. I "hurt her feelings" apparently. I think she might be too fragile for the 'Net. Quite frankly, I don't understand why anyone would give a flying fuck what I think enough to be bothered by it.
MeFi. In that thread about the stupid Lysol douche ad, she started in with her hand-wringing routine. Someone called her on it, saying they were tired of her "scolding." She said "since when am I scolding?" I said "I dunno, how long has it been since time immemorial?"
She drove off in a 1972 snit. I don't bully people and I can take a joke, but I mince words for nobody and I refuse to treat anyone like a Faberge egg. You publicly post your ideas, you stand by them and you don't whine, if you want any respect. I learned that along time ago.
At the risk of being even more insensitive than you (if that is possible) - sounds a little like she was being visited by a friend, if you know what I mean.
She'll probably acuse me of being sexist, which is ironic, since even a cursory glance at my history will show that I gleefully shred anyone I find stupid or annoying, regardless of gender or anything else.
It was somewhat random since you were not involved in the argument prior and would have been deleted on a "nice" forum. But Mefi is far from being a nice forum. Three or four threads from today (er... yesterday I guess) highlight that wonderfully.
