End the debacle, Mrs. Sheehan. It's not the content I'm pointing out so much as the fact that it's on Arab News. Heh. I'm glad Metachat is here to give me comfort and solace in these trouvled days of confusion and downtime.
I have intensley mixed feelings about Ms. Sheehan. First off, I hold sacred her son's sacrifice and am disgusted by people who would casually mock it. Second, She's often right. But, a lot of people have piggybacked their causes onto her and her rhetoric has gotten more strident, and it's becoming more and more her being used as a prop by moveon.org and all them rather than just a greiving mother speaking her mind. But, that's just my opinion.
i think this guy's very late to the lynching party--and does anyone really think Bush left Crawford and went to Idaho to meet with Vets?
jon, it really hasn't become a prop for moveon, anymore than any serviceperson is a prop for Bush. And all accounts of Camp Casey say it's mostly moms and vets--overwhelmingly.
Perhaps. I nearly fell into the trap myself and composed a lengthy observation/question on the topic, but decided against posting it because I don't think MeCha should be about politics of any stripe. Perhaps I'll email amberglow instead.
