Stupid CSS question How do I float an element without actually floating it.

To put it another way, dig this.

Note how if the browser window is reasonably wide, the Bogart icon in the top entry escapes it's containing div and invades the text of the div below.

How do I have text flow around an element but still have the containing div grow to always contain the element?
I'm sure there are other smarter CSSies out there, and this is just off the top of my head and on the run, plus I'm still locked in a hybrid of tables and css at work, but have you tried using clear? Maybe in this direction? wow, more caveats than content on my part.

I fixed it by making the div under the image (the "All for... | Trackback" thing) clear: left.
