I love the smell of an incoming rainstorm. That is all.
YOU SUCK, MR_CRASH_DAVIS!

Well sure, but you know what's an even better smell? Bacon. Mmm, bacon.

Oh, and the smell of garlic you get from your hands a few hours after chopping it up, when you aren't expecting it. That's nice, too.

On preview: well sure, but he smells nice.

me too. I love the way the sky looks then, too.

If it started raining bacon and garlic, I think I'd be scared. And hungry.

PS: It didn't actually rain, but it smelled like it, which was really all that mattered.

I like the smell of when it's just started raining after it hasn't rained for a while, that dusty sidewalk smell.

I love me some thunderstorms. I'm a very indoors-type these days. But my childhood, in a small town, was mostly outdoors. Thunderstorms, especially the smell of the rain, remind me of my childhood. I love lightning and thunder and the sound of rain hitting the roof really hard. But I'm weird about falling water that way. I have a habit of taking long showers in the dark. It's restfull.

On preview: actually, sometimes you can smell when it's gonna snow. Maybe "smell" isn't the right word. But the air gets a particular way.

What I hate about Utah in the summer is the dark clouds rise, the deadly daystar briefly goes away, there's even a flash or two on the horizon.

And then...

Nothing. For someone who loves a good storm, Utah is such a cocktease. All words, all moans, no action.

I love that smell as well. And the smell of snow. So, yeah.

We're getting to "monsoon" season here in Albuquerque. The way the big mountain is, and how it works with mountains in desert climes, we get a big buildup of stormclouds over the city by mid to late afternoon and then a pouring rainstorm. August is really the month. In wet years, every single day. It's pretty cool, except when an arroyo badly floods. Which, actually, is pretty cool too.

I love that sharp clean metallic gonna snow smell.

Yup--it's like a tang. (and not at all like ozone in the summer.)

Yup, you're right, amberglow. I thought "smells like snow" was a Pennsylvania thing.

Crash, I would kill you and eat your heart right now if I thought it would bring an incoming rainstorm.

That is all.

I'm famous in my family for smelling snow. Considering we don't get much here in Fayettenam, that's saying something.
