The Puzzled Fox is a rare 19th century Currier and Ives "picture puzzle" lithograph, with lots of hidden creatures and faces. I've managed to grab a couple of images of it from the net, though unfortunately, neither is complete. Peek inside if you feel like playing.
Here's a link to a large image that's missing some from the top.

And here's a link to a smaller image that is missing some from the left and bottom.

(here's one showing the smaller one enlarged.)

There's a lot of stuff in here, and I keep finding more. I haven't found any sort of listing of the number or nature of the hidden images, and there may not be such a thing. Most sites that refer to the print mention one horse, but I've found two, for example.

I think I may also have found a wabbit, but maybe it's wishful thinking on my part. Let's see if anyone else spots the possible bunny!

A. Well, I think some bunny loves you. Rabbits are a lot smarter than most people give them credit for, and I'm sure your rabbit knows just when you're coming home. I've been told of rabbits that always wake people up 5 minutes before their alarm goes off, every morning. When your rabbit sits by your feet its because he considers you his best friend and wants to hang out with you. Sitting around together is something rabbit buddies love to do with each other.

I see a fox! And a tree. And another tree!

The only reason I didn't mind going to the doctor as a kid was because I knew there'd be a new issue of Highlights magazine and I could play the hidden images game.

This is neat. I see a lot, but I'm sure I'm missing most of it.

I found a fox in the foreground immediately and then had no incentive to look any further.

Playing around with this a bit in Photoshop, I've also found the letters "ac" in a few places, and the name "ann". I wonder if Nathanial Currier had a wife or daughter named "Ann"?

Sorry, Wolfdog - maybe I should have been clearer in the description!

No on both counts (wife and daughter) but this has me curious. Nathanial had a print called "Ann" which makes me wonder if there is a relation. I might have to do some googling.

As for The Puzzled Fox, I have seen the print for sale with a sample picture which is the full print but most of the time it is cropped quite a bit even when you find a poster/print for sale. I have no idea why. I will try to find that tiny image which has the full print.

I think that one is complete. Hard to tell though.
I wish I had a nice big image! I'm seeing what seems to be other "secret writing" that I just can't make out because of the compression artifacts.

i do remember this from childhood with a list of what you were suppose to find, and i remember there was one thing that i never found.
i'm almost positive that if i enlarged it i'd find "kilroy was here" in the pixels.
