3 cities isn't much of a tour. Especially when one of them isn't Chicago. Based on the 2 shows I've heard online, I don't think the shows will be very good. At least not good enough to fly to. I think the only reason I'd consider it is to put together the last piece of the puzzle I've been obsessing over for the last 16 or 17 years.

Amongst the three or four biggest shocks I've experienced online was the morning I clicked on a music news site and saw that Jandek had done a live show. It was a "where were you when Kennedy was shot?" moment for me. And one that I didn't have a single person that cared (or knew what I was talking about) to tell about it.

Ah yes I remember that day. I briefly considered making Jandek World Tour t-shirts with just one date printed on the back.

Anyway, will someone over there please go to one of these shows and shout out Freebird!

I'm with you, Slack-a-gogo. After hearing that Jandek played live I felt that I had to re-evaluate my concept of The Possible. To this day when faced with a seemingly insurmountable problem or situation I repeat this mantra: "Jandek Played Live." If Jandek played live, then anything is possible.

I can't be bothered to look the article up but the Shaggs did do a reunion a few years ago (well all except for one I think). In fact I'd also heard that Tom Cruise had bought up there story with a view to making a film.
