There was a gecko in my computer this morning. →[More:]About 6" long, hanging out between the machine's guts and the lucite cover. I thought it was kinda neat. So did my cat. We all stared at each other for a while, until the cat and I got bored and left. The gecko remained.

I shoulda taken a picture, I guess. It was early in the morning, though, so all those controls (on/off and shutter release, to be exact) would likely have confused me.

Geckos are good luck, you know - so this is a good sign. Evidently the Chinese symbol for gecko is "wall tiger", which is cool.

Be careful though; sometimes they tend to grow really big and take up flying.

you're one of those bloody children responsible for the fact that when i bought a new power supply last week i ended up with a computer that glows in the dark. aren't you? all i wanted was a box with wires coming out of it and a switch. all they had was something painted red that glows stupid fucking purple. purple and green. you should all be shot. it's a computer not a penis substitue (and why someone wants a purple and green penis that glows in the dark is beyond me too).

good god. kids these days.

i hope the gecko has rabies and bites you.

*shuffles off muttering about lucite covers*
