The Museum of Soy Henry Ford had a soy fiber suit. Who knew? Now you do.
I love soy “bacon” bits on a salad.

didn't he make a corn car? with all the excess corn they made corn plastics for a while
i had a corn pen that allegedly would biodegrade if i buried it just right with enough light and air blahblahblah
and unsurprisingly never were fans of the hemp plastics

When I lived in Ann Arbor, my friend, Tom Deem, whose father was a vice president of Ford in charge of European sales, showed me a picture of his grandfather and Henry Ford standing next to a Model T. All the body parts were made from soy plastic. Tom said his grandfather was in charge of the plastic project, but that it ultimately didn't go anywhere.
