Yeah, it was petty bad. I'm lucky, they told me I wouldn't walk again. And tonight I'm going out dancing. So it just goes to show what doctors know. :)
Oh cool. I wish my scanner worked. Either that or I knew where my daughter's digital camera was. I want to take a picture of my nine cute toes and my one ugly one.
ethylene: I've got that, too. Twelve of them still in there, I won't go in to get them taken out. (the word "reset" was used, and I'll be damned if I'm going to be on crutches all summer, living in a second story walk up apartment)
Yeah, I had a bad reaction to my hardware. They told me they would be willing to take it out after 18-24 months. In moment borne of complete shock, I asked my very proper and paternal surgeon, whom I adored, "You're fucking kidding me, right?!"
I do not have a digital camera so until I can get a friend to email me one of the pics he took of me all I can offer is this stunningly accurate digital recreation of my right hand.
I didn't get a reaction, thank god. It just didn't heal as cleanly as it could. I still get a lot of swelling and limp if I've been overdoing it, and the accident was back in 99.
But it isn't my ankle, per se. It's the round bone at the back of the heel, where it goes into the ankle joint.

it was not good
so it became bad mitten

I should get scar pictures, or scans of my xrays. They really have to be seen to be believed.
Plus, it gets me bonus cool points with the bodymod crowd. I'm so hardcore I pierced my femurs, all that...
I don't even know what exactly broke on mine. They didn't know fir sure until they got inside. It was broken in five places and they had to remove some of the bone and now it kind has a mind of it's own.
It wasn't the best year for me.
eth, for a hand cast, that thing is bad ass, but sorry about the injury.

a friend of mine broke his femur in the 50's
he was basically wired and suspended for months in a bed
