I'll never understand why people have the urge to point at a pile of shit lying by the side of the road. If you leave it alone, it will quietly decompose, but if you point at it, some idiot is always going to either a) try (and fail) to clean it up or b) move it out into the middle of the road where we all have to walk in it.

LJ is no different than any kind of personal writing on the web. There are plenty of tasteless blogs and websites out there, too.
