Early Bodybuilding Eugene Sandow was apparantely the first modern bodybuilder ( pic1 , pic2 ..barely SFW). The Sandow Museum celebrates him and other historical bodybuilders. Site also has a calculator for "Grecian Ideal" measurements for males.

It's so funny that that was considered the pinnacle, when you look at the bodybuilder monsters they have today.

I recently saw a pic of a former high school classmate who is working on his "bodybuilder" physique. It's pretty obvious he takes steroids. I think he looks disgusting. Bodybuilding pre-drugs is a lot more sexy.

Had an old bodybuilding book which thanked, among other people, a very young Ah-nold. Excellent book, but I can't think of the author at the moment.

I think he looks disgusting

Mmm, just realized what the rest of the statement was that I'd quoted. No steroids, obviously. All work (though most times doesn't feel like it).
