I was proofreading a scientific article about some kind of insect a couple of months ago (it's my job to read them, but not to pay too much attention to them) and there was something in it that had the species name fuckeliana.

I looked it up, hoping that there was some scandal, but it turned out that the guy who'd discovered it wasn't mad at Eliana--he just had the last name "Fuckel".

Big disappointment.

On the other hand, I've met quite a few people who seem to believe hummingbirds are bugs...
