it's um...a sculpture...i remember seeing it on boingboing, but damn if i can find it.

Well, damn it, you're freaking me out, you hairless human-dog thing. I'm all for breast feeding and the benefits it implies for all teat-suckling mammals, but throw a sheet on or something. You look cold, and not to mention a little beleaguered.

That's a sculpture!? That's rad. And explains the more human looking feet in the background.

ah here it is. Patricia Piccini is the one to blame.

Those kids can really drain ol' Mom. Used to be quite a good looking bitch in my day.

Ah, thank you, dhruva. That's just weirdness. Excellent weirdness.

Jokes aside, those sculptures are absolutely stunning. Thanks loquacious and dhruva.

you would say that, hojoki :)

I love these sculptures. Every so often they pop up in a forum or blog, usually accompanied by a giant WTF (the Joshua puppet gets a similar reaction). The details are amazing. Just the pores and blemishes on the creatures skin are enough to impress.

I think I would be really happy with myself if my artwork elicited reactions like this, in contexts like this. No sarcasm intended. I just think it would be really amusing to watch...and read...and laugh knowingly.

I made a post on this a while back...

Wow, all of Patricia Piccini's sculptures are astounding! Thanks for turning me on to her. Yay!
