Title too long ... in Hell! I have a question about the Family song "Second Generation Woman". What the hell does that mean? Not only is she a woman, but her mother was too?
People whose parent emigrated from another country, but who were themselves born in the new country are called "second generation", but I think it's more likely to be "second generation" in the computer sense - like a newer version.

well now i had to look it up to see what the hell you were on about
this is while i don't have time to look up keanu's brain links.

so it's just the title?

Ya but you would say of such a person that he or she's a second-generation korean-american or whatnot.

second generation immigrants are particular in being influenced by more than one culture in general terms.

i'm not sure if you're asking how you could use it and in what context or what it means to people who could use it.

ok, we have cleared up the song is ostensibly about a new generation of women, not an immigrant, right?
disclaimer: never heard it
