Sometimes I feel doomed. Do you ever feel doomed? Do you ever convince yourself you aren't?
Nah. We're doomed.

A Rasmussen Reports survey found that 20% of Americans believe prisoners at Guantanamo Bay have been treated unfairly. Seven-out-of-ten adults believe the prisoners are being treated "better than they deserve" (36%) or "about right" (34%).
Yes and sometimes.

Do you have the Mean Reds? I get them sometimes.

You mean like this?

Well considering the only definite thing in life is death, you have good reason to feel doomed. Enjoy the rest of your day!

More like the thwarted pinchies. I don't know what color they are though. At least my car isn't in a lake in a field in England

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's made my fucking year!

I have absolutely no idea what ico and dame are talking about. But it's payday. I want beer and red meat.

Also, me and pips have decided that if we ever do make it legal, this is our wedding song.

We're talking about feelings, jon. Goopy, grody, girl-infested feeeeeeeeelings!

Men have feelings, too. For instance, right now I'm feeling alcohol withdrawal. Besides, I just posted the most sentimental song in history, and it's for me and my girl. I'm sensitive as fuck, dame.

Darling, you took that with about a thousand times more seriousness than it was offered. I suppose there's a certain charm in that.
posted by dame 24 June | 12:19
Jon, you've never seen Breakfast at Tiffany's or read the book? Say it ain't so, New Yawker.
posted by iconomy 24 June | 12:20
I'm always serious. or I'm never serious. You figure it out. And, yes, I do ooze charm from every orifice.

No, I never read the book, ico. I'm an illiterate fuck. But you've never read Ladies Man, so we're even.
posted by jonmc 24 June | 12:22
If you say so.

Personally doomed, or doomed as a species, or just sort of generically doomed? I'm definitely personally doomed but usually I chalk it up to the being eternally cursed by the gods thing.

I dunno about "Doomed," but I often have the odd certain feeling that my house has burned to the ground. Often it comes when we are returning from a weekend away, but last night it happened as we were driving home from seeing the new Batman movie.

I usually just call the house and I feel better when the answering machine picks up.

Sometimes I wish I could call the future to see if America's answering machine picks up, but I haven't figured out a way to do that yet.
