BitTorrent? Piffle! This site makes DVDs available of old otherwise unobtainable TV shows. And no eBay in sight. Keep it quiet though, I think it's meant to be a secret.
*wants to get the original the Avengers*

Darn.. The site is dead already?

Wow. Well I know they were offline recently for some changes, maybe they've still got some gremlins.

Oh, and I'm sure you were joking but The Avengers is out there. I have a few of the black and white Emma Peel episodes.

Ahhh, Diana Rigg...

* looks dreamily off into the distance *

Wehey, wasn't joking. I have collected b/w episodes with Ms Peel on video taping off the telly, and they looking a bit wobbly. Should get meself that dvd.

but,but,but--those things cost money!

I thought it was free too. I was getting ready to love it so hard.

The site looks like it's back up, btw.

However, this reminds me: does anyone know of where I could get the original "Candid Camera" series? You know, the one with Allen Funt, much of the earlier shows were in black and white? In the past I've Googled my little heart out only to find the new, late '90's-2000 version. Still funny, but lacking the naivete and political incorrectness of the original.

I have no problem shelling out the ducats and following proper channels, but I just haven't been able to track down what they might be and, admittedly, I haven't looked for a few years, either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Search: "Dungeons & Dragons"

There is no product that matches the search criteria.

Meh.

Thanks, amber! I don't recall having come across those previously.

File sharing for free is illegal, but doing it for profit is PROPER illegal.

My quest for episodes of Sgt. Bilko continues...

Bilko VHS.

It's shameful it isn't on DVD - that and Addams Family episodes would make my life complete.

I still don't understand why the Addams Family still hasn't come out on DVD yet. Does anyone know why?

i've heard the addams estate are dicks. i know they refuse to release tons of charles addams' books for re-release and i guess they're holding out on the tv show too.
posted by dodgygeezer 18 June | 20:40
Weird. It's not like people wouldn't buy Addams stuff, if given the opportunity....

Bilko VHS.

Thanks dodgy, I've considered grabbing the NTSC versions that show up on Amazon US but I'm trying to avoid adding to my VHS collection at the moment.

The original Space Ghost on DVD would be nice, too.
