Animal paintings usually aren't my bag, but this is some fine work, really. I want to hate it, but it won't let me.

I saw it and thought, "that belongs on a collector plate sold to old people."

But I'm not a fan of photorealism, so what do I know?

It's ok, but I looked, and looked, and couldn't find the pictures of the dogs playing cards. So I'm not interested.

Nice color and texture, decent form and composition.

But I could hate it for you if you like. It doesn't trigger any passionate "This! This is Art!" type feelings in me.

It's mildly tickling my "Hrm, that's some nice illustration - I'll file that one in the ol' morgue file when I need to assemble a promotional calender" spot, though.

The monkey and title of "thinking up mischief" earns her a spot in hell, though. It might as well be playing cards with dogs.
