Breaking stuff. Tread carefully folks because I've made a big change to the site. You can now post images in comments. No, no, come back! You won't see them unless you click the IMAGES ON link up there.→[More:]

This works by creating a cookie in your browser so if you switch images on at your computer at home it doesn't mean they'll be switched on at your computer at work. Even if you have two different browsers on the same machine you'll still have to opt-in by clicking IMAGES ON. In other words, assume images are switched off unless you've clicked the link.

Does this mean you can post any images you like? No, please link NSFW images rather than use an img tag and please clearly mark them as NSFW.

Most of all, please go easy on this new feature. I've worked hard to try and keep everyone happy and I'd really hate to switch it off again. Thanks.

Text and images not working. Errors shown were,,,

* Tag br is not allowed within tag img
* Tag img may not contain raw character data
* Parser error: mismatched tag: img near woot!

you need to terminate image tags.

good:
<img src="trumpton.jpg" />

bad:
<img src="trumpton.jpg">

Ooopps, I've just noticed a bug. The cookies are getting overwritten. I'll fix it in a minute.

I used the new bunny (pony?) over here. I think it's rather brilliant the way you only display the images if we tickle the Images On button in our profile. Well done, that.

shouldn't the 'images on' link toggle to 'images off' after clicking? of do i have to click it every time i visit the page?

It'd be especially wonderful if the alleged redesign/revamp of MeFi would include something like this. The image toggle-thingie I mean. Not the fish. Well, the fish would be nice, too.
