The weird thing is, this is absolutely perfect propaganda; it seems horrific, but how many kids are going to see or hear this, and think how badass it is to be over there shooting people?

i should maybe clarify... i'm a hiphop afficionado. i didnt mean to imply that rap music itself sucks; just this shite... it's awful.

was also surprised(?) to see in the mefi thread that many people still don't understand the differences between hiphop, rap, and gangsta rap. maybe its time for someone to post teh fpp and drop some science on (some of) your ignorant cracker asses. possible topics worth discussing:

- hiphop, as an artform, is the new jazz
- michael eric dyson is always interesting
- cultural hegemony... from elvis to eric clapton to eminem: the honkyization of black music
- nelly and usher are the britney spears and christina aguilera of rap music.
- hiphop as linguistic evolutional catalyst of contemporary english language
- etc.

so... if some kind soul has some time on their hands to throw an fpp together, that would be cool. (i'm feeling lazy today. sorry.) if not, that's cool, too, i guess. i'll find something interesting and post it some other time, sighing audibly.
