Elsa is not her birth name, but it makes two references to her birth name, one obvious and one oblique.

Mecha's Own Elsa takes her name from Elsa Lanchester. Around age five, Elsa saw Bride of Frankenstein for the first time and announced to her mother "I'm gonna look just like that [i.e., laced with tiny scars, frizzed-out gray hair, dark shapely lips, and looming about on stilt-bound legs] when I get big!" Elsa's momma hastily assured her that was unlikely.

In the movie 'Born Free,' the part of Elsa the lioness was played by Mara the lioness.
