Radio show requests and suggestions

This is the page where people post suggestions for Radio Metachat shows, themes, playlists, etc. Suggestions for improving this page itself could be put here too.

Be sure and check the Radio dibs page to see when shows are being broadcast.

Examples:

  • I'd like for someone to play a whole set of songs that were popular when they were in high school. (box)
  • I'd like for box to play songs about pork. (mudpuppie)

What you can suggest: General and specific themes. Examples: "80's alternative", "Big Band and swing", "Central American political/rebellion songs".
What you can't suggest: Specific songs. Example: "Devo - Whip It". Possibly specific artists and albums, as this could be a potential troublemaking/grey area.
Why? Song titles can't be announced before they're played. The FCC set this up to stop people being able to record songs that are going to be played. If we violate this, we get taken down. There ya go.
