R.I.P. Gary Wright. He was part of Spooky Tooth then solo for 10 albums. He had only one hit album but The Dream Weaver with Love is Alive and Dream Weaver was as big a thing as there was in music in 1975/76.
I'd heard of Spooky Tooth but the band wasn't really on my radar. We're at the age now, arse_hat, where our teenage heroes are passing, yet still in my head I am 24, not 64, years old.
Oh yeah. In 2009 we were on the hiway and listening to CBC. The news came on at the top of the hour and at the end they mention that Lux Interior of The Cramps had died. He was 62. I thought 'no way he's that old.'
Then of course it hit me that he would be that old and yes that means I am getting old too.
I am OK. I stay physically busy but mentally I am kind of just adrift.
