Smoke? I'm not in one of the worst areas and my eyes are hurting. Anyone else in the heavy smoke zones?
I'm in Central NJ. The fire in Jackson, NJ is about four miles from my house. Hoo boy, did we have smoke issues. Yesterday, I was leaving work (25 miles northeast of home) and the sky was a scary shade of yellow. I had a doctor's appointment, and I wore a surgical mask to and from the building - you can just feel the air. Today seems a bit better but I haven't gone outside at all except to feed a stray. I hope everyone stays safe.

My poor coworker has sensitive eyes and her eyes look like she was stung by bees, it's so bad. I was wishing for goggles for mine yesterday!

After dinner I'm going to get some eye drops. My eyes feel like sandpaper.

The current situation in Canada is frightening. The smoke is all the way down here in Southeastern North Carolina on the East coast of USA. Sea breezes usually keep our air clear but aren't forceful enough for the enormity of this situation.

I cannot imagine having a health issue that's worsened by the particulates; and I also worry about the people and critters who have no inside escape from it.

The videos from Canada are heartbreaking. I can't help but think of the birds whose babies haven't fledged.
