Update: I am scheduled for my first dose of Covid vaccine on Saturday.→[More:] That is all.
That is good news. I don't have a date for mine but the online forecaster says I should get the first dose between 26 March and 7 April and the second dose between 18 June and 30 June. Although I'm over 60, I have no health issues and I'm not a key worker, so I'm fairly low down the list.
Where I live, only those 65 and older can get vaccinated right now, so I'm not able to even get on a list. Front line workers can also get them, no matter their age. This being Indiana, of course, teachers aren't considered "front line".
Yay. That's awesome. I'm trying to get my 90 y.o. mom on the list but it fills up in a couple of hours once it's opened each week. We are currently on tier 2 vaccination schedule hereabouts.
I am an essential worker but am considered tier 3 by my State, so it will be March at the earliest, if even then.
No, not awesome. I found out the date in the email is not the actual shot appointment. It might still be on Saturday but I won't know for sure until at least tomorrow.
As far as how I got on the list: In Texas there is a category 1B which is anyone over 65 or has a comorbidity. I'm been treated for hypertension for years and I was obese at the start of the pandemic. I'm down to overweight now, but the questionnaire asked "obese/overweight" so I checked that box. I'm not 65 yet... only 58.
My wife who has real autoimmune issues did get her first shot a couple weeks ago, and for that I'm grateful. I hope they call me soon but realistically I'm not sure I'm particularly high risk.
