🐇 🎄 🎶 19 Tafelmusik with Elisa's Midsummer Night's Dream. Sure it ain't no Christmas song but it is joyous and good and it shows that even in hard times we can have nice things.→[More:]I don't know how you are all doing or even if there are any of you here at all. It seems like this has become my own little blog. Anyway things suck right now but this was a few minutes of good so I send it out hoping it makes someone else happy too.

The suck in me is draining away. The objective suck in the universe not so much.

I am usually pretty good at not getting upset or angry about things I can effect no control over. Bad stuff happens to people sometimes and there is nothing we can do about it. I long ago decided not to let the things I have no control over grind me up or grind my gears. It is one of the things my wife tells me first attracted her to me.

But the last couple of weeks broke me for a bit.

Tafelmusik! I auditioned for their chamber choir long ago in a former life. Even though they didn't choose me, it was a lot of fun, Ivars Taurins was friendly and encouraging, and I felt good about it.

Also, I used to live nearby. That opening bike ride...I must have done it hundreds, maybe thousands of times in the 80s.
