Animals is weird. Went out tonight and found a possum in the trap. →[More:] The trap wasn't set. I leave it out on the covered patio so that animals will get used to seeing it and not be too weirded out if I put food in it to trap them.

It was locked in the open position and had no food in it but somehow a possum got it's self locked in there.

Apparently now, animals are coming here to be part of the family by any means possible.

More oddness today. Around noon I found a sparrow laying beside a cat bowl on the table on the patio. It was not moving but unmarked so not taken by a cat. I thought it might be knocked out but that would mean it hit a wall as there is no window nearby.

I went to it and gave it a nudge but it didn't move. I went to get a bag to dispose of it but when I got back it was gone. I don't know if it was really stunned and woke up or if a cat came and took it away.

The only two to come out that early are Pan and Wen and I can't really see either of them eating a dead thing if nice clean food is available.

Maybe the cats are making offerings to the food god; first a possum, then a pretty bird. Obviously, the kitties are finding you hard to please....
