A long time ago in a galaxy far far away... OK so just across the border in the U. S. of A., TV stations had this creepy 'Do you know where your children are?' thing going on.
Fun fact: My first mother-in-law was Grace Jones.

Apparently Buffalo, NY kids get an extra hour's leeway.

I'd be hard-pressed to tell you where my children are, what with not having any & all.

I grew up hearing those words spoken by Irv Weinstein (in Buffalo, NY). Local legend says that originated in Buffalo.

For several years throughout the 70's, here in Indy, every station's 10pm newscast was prefaced by an announcer doing the same "do you know where your children are?" shtick. It was to remind everyone that minors were subject to curfew laws. They had to be home (or otherwise off the streets) by 10pm.
