Happy Thanksgiving, Mechazens! What are you up to?
It was Thanksgiving a month ago here so nothing special going on. It is that time of year that my love of the fall season starts to sour. Everyday there are more damned leaves to clear up. But the weather has been nice.
Oh tell me about it, arse_hat, I live in a forest. I need to clear up leaves today. I have one of those leaf vacuum things, but it's cumbersome. But last spring I saw this in Homebase and, in a rare moment of forward planning and good sense, thought "if I don't buy this now, then they'll all be sold out by autumn", and I was right. It makes things so much easier. Even easier, dare I say it, than the leaf vacuum.
The day is beautiful and sunny with no breeze - perfect for leaf collecting. But I was out until 2am, didn't get to bed until nearly 4, and so I'm hardly motivated to get outside and work. Not yet, anyway.
The most tension-free Thanksgiving I've had in a while. We joined some friends at their place in the country. Among the guests were a baker/pastry chef (amazing maple pecan tart!) and a person who works for the gov't (no political talk!). These things contributed greatly to enjoyment of the day.
