Friday question NOT from the book of questions What's your preferred caffeine delivery system? Coffee, tea, or other?
The world doesn't exist until I have my cup of black coffee first thing in the morning. During the day I'll switch back and forth between coffee and tea, always without milk or sugar.
I am like octothorpe, don't talk to me before I have had at least one cup of my weapons-grade black coffee first thing in the morning. I normally drink two cups, but I can be civil after the first one.
Dr Pepper Zero or Diet Coke, or coffee (black no sugar for good coffee through my Aeropress, white with a tiny bit of sugar for instant). Sometimes tea (strong, milk, one sugar).
Caffeine doesn't affect me so I usually stick with decaf tea. If I do want caffeine, then a soda (specifically Coke, root beer or the occasional Dr Pepper)
I don't seek out caffeine. I love coffee but if I drink it every day for a whole week, I'll get headaches when I stop. (This often happens when I come back from staying with my parents.) So I make sure to limit it. I like tea, all kinds. I don't like most soda.
One of my favorite summer indulgences is iced coffee with milk and a little maple syrup.
I make a huge batch of cold-brew iced coffee every week once the hot weather begins. Occasionally I throw a few springs of mint in there to steep during the brewing process. It's refreshing and delicious.
Espresso. Usually a straight-up double. Just one in the morning.
I do like a strong iced coffee, made with cold-brewed java and a bit of milk. A small one in the afternoon.
Coffee. I was never a coffee drinker until I met Mr. V. back in 1999. I always had loved the smell of coffee, but never the taste..until one morning he made me a cup. And I loved it. And I've had coffee ever since.
