Friday question NOT on Friday and NOT from the Book of Questions What is your most hated household chore?
I really hate mopping floors, because I am the world's worst at it, and it takes forever, and ick that dirty water.

So, we have a housecleaning service.

P.S.: No Friday question for a couple of weeks as I'll be traveling. Back on 7/27.

Cleaning the bathroom.

Putting away my laundry. I have too many clothes for the space they're in and so I end up jamming everything in drawers or closets. The reason I have so much clothing is that my pre-babies clothes still don't fit so I essentially have two wardrobes. So I also get depressed about all the clothes I can't wear. So.... It sits in laundry baskets until my husband gets on me to put it away because he needs the baskets.

Vacuuming. I don't even have a logical reason to hate it, I just do.

Cleaning the stove and oven; especially cleaning sooty old grease out of the range hood vents.

Laundry. It never ends because what you're wearing still needs to be washed. You can't win.

Cleaning the fridge, because I always leave it until the little drain thing at the back is blocked and then somehow water overflows into the salad drawer (that I keep my condiments in, rather than salad) and I only notice it when it's really icky. If I cleaned the fridge more regularly, it wouldn't happen, and each time it does happen I swear I'll make sure that little drain doesn't get blocked again. But then I forget, until the next time.

Most of the chores I don't like are taken care of by my cleaning service. If I don't have any company coming over, I'll sometimes leave the rug unvacuumed between their weekly visits, with a daily build-up of cat fur in one particular spot where Lucy chooses to lie.

I don't like to dust. Which is crazy, since I loved dusting when I was a child, and it was one of the chores I was happy to do.

My kitty loves dusting, but only special things...I cannot convince her to do a thorough job. In fact, I have a suspicion that she creates more dust than she removes.

My solution seems to be allowing enough dust to accumulate that it's really satisfyingly noticeable when I do clean.

I have absolutely no idea what drain you are talking about. I guess British and American fridges are designed differently?

Amro, it's this. I don't know if American fridges have them but they're standard here.

I don't think we have those here, unless it's something I've managed to miss for 40 years. Which is certainly possible.

Know what, our fridges at least did have those holes (I know because I used to clean the fridge at a workplace and the weird fridge we had always gave me a mild shock when I touched the drain hole) but modern fridges just don't seem to build up moisture in this way, and I haven't had to wipe any up, or clean any hideous fuzz, in like 15 years. Somehow the technology or design here seems to have rendered that obsolete.

Dishes. I hate doing dishes. Our new place has a dishwasher, though, so that helps. Bathroom's no fun either. Or floors. Or laundry. I never iron. I refuse. I just go wrinkled. I'm surprised I even own an iron (I saw it when we moved recently. Took it with us, just in case). Not much of a domestic, I'm afraid.

I do like to cook (if I don't have to do dishes). And I'm fairly good at putting things together.

(The freezers on old fridges here used to turn into icebergs. We had one in our second apartment that built up a block of ice in the back of the fridge part, too. Defrosting the fridge was always a dreaded chore. Refrigerators don't seem to do this anymore. I don't know how you manage with such a tiny fridge, senyar.)

The theme for this week's Photo Friday is : Square || The last straw is to pass out from too much drinking.
