Friday question NOT from the Book of Questions What is your favorite smell/aroma/perfume? Any reason?
I am very, very partial to the smell of roses myself. I'm not sure why. I do love the flower too.

Also high on my list of favorite scents are baking bread, melting butter, freshly mown grass, sea air, jasmine, gardenia flowers, and sage.

I enjoy the citrus scents (and flavor) and dislike the musty scents and heavy sweet scents.

Citrus is so bright and fresh!

Cucumber, cilantro, mint because they all smell like summer.

Vanilla.

Cedarwood.

Everything that gaspode said, but add rosemary.

Citrus, pinaceae, lavender, rose violet, mint, extra sourdough bread, coffee, chocolate....the man I loved in college.

Lots of lovely roses in England at the moment. Also dill and basil. Lemon. Rosemary. Coffee.

OH, yes, rosemary is also lovely.

I can't think of a favorite, but honeysuckle is in bloom all along our tree line, and it smells lovely.

Vanilla. Honeysuckle. Wisteria. Baking cookies & brownies. Whatever it was my male Lebanese-Canadian coworker at my first job wore.

We have several huge lilac bushes outside my studio window, and when they are blooming the place smells amazing. I can't honestly say if lilac is my favorite scent, but that short period when they're blooming sure makes the days a lot happier.

Warm mules on cold mornings; you lean up against them and watch their breath become visible while you drink in their aroma.

Speaking of animal smells, I am very partial to sniffing my husband's skin and my dog's ears and head.

Roasting chicken; cookies in the oven; coconut; certain male colognes (Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue); and the way my boyfriend smells after he's been working outside.

There is a bread bakery a few miles from our house on one of the main drags. They make Wonder Bread (or the equivalent) but I don't care because it smeels great when you open your windows as you drive by.

I also like new vinyl, like the off-gas of a brand new shower curtain. Yes, I am weird.

Vanilla (the only candle scent I like), cinnamon, coconut (especially suntan lotion), the beach/ocean, the woods (especially in fall), my mom's kitchen when she was able to cook (anything she made smelled great), sometimes cigars (they remind me of my father)

Cats smell between their ears like lanoline to me. Which is similar to how my daughter smelled as a baby. Which reminds me in a way of how my GFs neck/hair smelled. I guess olfactorily I'm a people person.

I love to sniff a dog's paws and tell the dog how stinky they are. The smell speaks of the adventures that the dog has been on, it's just a very sweet, earthy, wonderful smell.

I sometimes keep the cardamom on the counter because it smells so good.
