Friday Question from the Book of Questions If you could take a one month trip to anywhere in the world and money were not a consideration, where would you go and what would you do?
My problem would be deciding among my options. But high on my list would be a trip on the Eastern and Oriental Express train, combined with one of their Chindwin and Ayeyarwady river cruises and perhaps a tour of Vietnam.

To a tropical beach somewhere where I could relax with my family. Turquoise waters, white sand, blue skies, Palm trees, drinks with umbrellas in them.... Aaahh.

I think (just probing my sentiments) France and Australia are a couple countries I'd like to visit most... I'd also like to do some sporty or outdoorsy stuff (skiing, diving? I guess it would take a while to learn to dive though maybe a month is not enough)... and some shopping and eating. Can be a family/relatives thing or just solo.

I think I would spend a month screaming my lungs out at the fjords and waterfalls of Iceland. I have done that before, but not for an entire month. I suspect it would be quite cathartic.

I'd go back to Australia, to see where I was born and spent my early years. We lived in the Blue Mountains, near Sydney, so I'd spend time exploring Sydney and the east coast.

With a month, I'd probably want to tour the US and England. I've seen and read so much of so many places in books, films and TV that I'd really love to visit all those places to see them for myself. No doubt I'd be disappointed by many, but I'd still love to see them.

A month in the Caribbean sounds like heaven right now.

What I wanted to do last month was see the English Great war exhibits before they closed, but several things in my place went haywire and I can't go anywhere until they're fixed.

Probably tour the UK and Ireland where all of my ancestors came from. I've wanted to do that for ever but have never had the combination of time and money to do that.

I did finally get a passport in my fiftieth year last January.

Canada north of 60. Spent some time up there years ago and it was an eye opener. So different and yet part of my own country. I would like to get back there.
